A rally in support of a Palestinian currently on hunger strike in an Israeli jail will be held in Derry this weekend.
Belal Kayed (pictured) has been on hunger strike for almost a month in protest at being held without trial or charges under what the Israeli authorities term Administrative Detention.
A solidarity rally being held at Free Derry Corner at 2.00pm on Saturday is being staged to coincide with similar events internationally.
The Derry event is being organised by the Irish Republican Prisoners Welfare Association (IRPWA).
