The PSNI have thanked everyone who helped with the search for a man whose body was found yesterday.
Stevie Martin was last seen in Derry three weeks ago.
His car was subsequently found parked at Fanad Lighthouse.
Since then the 29-year-old’s family, friends and police have been trying to establish his whereabouts.
Stevie was originally from Lifford.
Both the gardai and PSNI launched a joint search operation to try and find the missing man.
However, the search reached a tragic conclusion yesterday when his body was found.
No other details have been issued about the circumstances behind his death.
Stevie was a renowned artist in Irish music circles and performed under the stage name of Rainy Boy Sleep.
He performed at the world-famous Glastonbury festival on a number of occasions and also toured as a support act for Cyndi Lauper and James Morrison.
He was nominated for Best Solo Act in the 2011 Northern Ireland Music Awards.
There have been many tributes to his music following his tragic death.
A PSNI spokesperson today said their thoughts were with the family of Stevie Martin after his body was found yesterday.
“Our thanks to all who helped and offered support,” the spokesperson said.
"He was a true gem of this city and when you look at how the whole community came together in an effort to find him, it’s beyond clear how much he meant to everyone who knew and loved him!"
