The Chicago Rose Maggie Rose McEldowney (pictured) has been crowned as the 2016 Rose of Tralee.
The 27-year-old Chicago native works as director of development at a Marist High School.
Her grandmother, Brigid O’Neill, was born in Maghera, Co Derry.

This year's Rose of Tralee International Festival has 65 Roses, including Zoe McGettigan, the Donegal Rose, and Eimear Cassidy, the Derry Rose.
