A 14-year-old boy will appear at Derry Magistrates Court this morning charged with damaging a life-saving defibrillator device at a shop in the Waterside.
The defibrillator was removed from its storage container at the Curry’s Spar store in Church Meadows before being destroyed in the early hours of last Sunday morning, August 21.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
The defibrillator had been paid for by the local community.
A 14-year-old boy will appear in court later this morning charged with criminal damage in relation to the incident.
