Children at a Derry school have sent a special thank you note to a government minister who has made their lives safer.
There has been a campaign for many years to get the speed limit on the road outside Groarty Integrated Primary School reduced from 60 mph to 30 mph.
Parents and school authorities had their requests turned down many times.
However, Roads Minister Chris Hazzard last week announced that he had agreed for the speed limit to be reduced to 30 mph outside the local school.
The decision was welcomed by everyone at the school.
Now, the pupils have sent Mr Hazzard a special thank you note (see above).
