A 54-year-old Derry woman charged with indecent behaviour has been asked by a judge to dress more appropriately for her next court appearance.

Ann Devine, from Abercorn Road, appeared at Derry Magistrates Court  today charged with criminal damage and indecent behaviour in relation to alleged incidents that took place on July 24 this year.

The criminal damage charge relates to damaging a bridge hand rail belonging to the government and the indecent behaviour was said to have taken place on the Craigavon Bridge.

The defendant was released on continuing bail to appear before court on October 5, when CCTV footage of the incident will be reviewed.

Before Devine left the courtroom, District Judge Paul Copeland said: "You perhaps would want to be dressed more appropriately the next occasion you're in court."
