A fundraising campaign for a young Derry man badly injured last weekend has already surpassed its target.
Niall Grace suffered serious head injuries after he was attacked in Derry’s city centre last Saturday night.
The 23-year-old, who plays football for Institute (pictured above), remains in hospital in Belfast.
A man has been charged in connection with last week’s attack.
An online fundraising campaign was launched earlier this week to help Niall’s family with the costs of travelling to the hospital to see him.
The initial target was £500 but the fund has now reached over £3,300.
