Ten nurses from Italy have taken up working positions at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry,
The group (pictured) were formally welcomed by Western Trust Executive Director of Nursing, Alan Corry Finn, during their clinical induction training.
The majority of the nurses come from central and southern Italy and are recent graduates.
They will be working in surgical, orthopaedics, AMU, renal and theatre wards at the hospital.
Before their formal induction they received a tour of the hospital and were warmly welcomed by all staff on the wards.
They also enjoyed a tour of Derry, facilitated by the Ulster University, during which they learned a lot about the area, and its unique dialect.
