A special charity screening of the All-Ireland football final between Dublin and Mayo is being organised in Derry today.
It is being held at Steelstown GAA club, with the game throwing in at 5pm.
The screening has been organised by a group of young Steelstown members who are set to head off on the trip of a lifetime later this year.
The girls will be part of a group heading to China with the Lisa Orsi Live Life Foundation.
The foundation was set up in memory of local woman Lisa who died in Singapore.
Two of Lisa’s loves in life were the GAA and travelling.
To recognise this, the foundation is taking a group of 40 young people from Derry to China in November to take part in the Asian GAA Games.
However, it is not a ‘freebie’ and the young people must raise a lot of the money themselves.
So the Steelstown girls have organised today’s match screening in a bid to raise some funds for their trip.
Doors open at the club at 4pm.
There will be food on offer at half-time during the match.
