Holders Dundalk came from behind to defeat Derry City 2-1 in their FAI Cup semi-final replay at Brandywell tonight.
Ronan Curtis (pictured) put the home side ahead his fourth goal in three games when he found the back of the net in the fourth minute having been set up by Barry McNamee.
Dundalk drew level with a Ciaran Kilduff penalty in the 37th minute after Robbie Benson was fouled in the box by Danish defender Niclas Vemmelund.
Derry made the better start to the second half and Curtis forced Gabriel Sava into a save shortly after the restart.
Ronan Finn scored what proved to be the winner with a header in the 68th minute, a goal that came against the run of
Dundalk now go on to face Cork City in the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, 6 November, a repeat of last year’s final.
