A play based on two men from Derry who fought at the Battle of the Somme is set for the Millennium Forum Theatre for one night only.
Divided by History United by Music is a tale of two men who are worlds apart yet live strikingly similar lives.
This is the only play this year which will celebrate the Centenary and Somme commemorations simultaneously.
This play portrays the story of two local musicians, John Love and James Downey. These men, one from the Fountain and the other from Longtower both fought during the battle of the Somme but for very different reasons.
This is a poignant and sensitively portrayed play written by acclaimed Artistic Director Jonathan Burgess with new music commissioned by well known Musical Director Noel Barr.
With a cast of over 100 and some of the best local talent on display this is sure to be a fantastic night which celebrates the cultural diversity of the Maiden City.
This play is on for one night only.
Tickets are available at the Millennium Forum from £10.
This event is being supported by International Fund for Ireland, Creative Centenaries, Department for Communities and the Strategic Investment Board.
