A secret event will be held in Derry’s city centre on Monday as part of World Mental Health Day.
The event is being organised by the Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum who, not surprisingly, are not revealing too much details about it.
All they will say is that it will take place in the city centre between 1pm and 2pm on Monday.
A spokesperson for the forum said they would be using the day to speak to people about their mental health.
“We will be engaging with all our participants throughout the week promoting the ‘5 ways to wellbeing’.
“We will be asking participants to think about what makes their mental health better and what they can do to improve their mental health.
“We will be engaging through our physical activity classes, Mindfulness groups, alcohol workshops, falls prevention programme and much more.
“We have organised a secret even taking place in Derry City Centre between 1pm – 2pm, what this space.
“Our Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum Facebook page will be promoting all the events throughout the week.
“The World Mental Health Day slogan this year is ‘Dignity in Mental Health’.
“Your mental health is a priceless asset, which you should nurture and cherish all your life. At times when your mental health is challenged or under pressure it is useful to be reminded as to how your own mental health, and that of others, can be improved by following the simple Take 5 steps of: being active; giving; taking notice; connecting; and keep learning.”
