Sinn Féin MEP Martina Anderson will host a major international conference on disability rights later this year.
The “United for Rights” conference will be held in the Carrickdale Hotel, Carrickarnon on December 4.
It will bring together a range of experts to discuss issues around inclusion and dignity for people with disabilities.
Ms Anderson (pictured), the chairperson of the European Parliament's intergroup on disability, said: "We will also look at current rights provision and how those rights could be threatened by Brexit and the British government's plans to scrap the Human Rights Act.”
Ms Anderson concluded: "It is vitally important that the rights of people with disabilities is protected and I'm looking forward to this event to inform future policy decisions."
