Derry Sinn Féin Councillor Tony Hassan has appealed to Transport NI to speed up the time it is taking to fix broken street lights.
Councillor Hassan said: “I am concerned that in some cases broken street lights which I and other elected representatives have reported five and six weeks ago are still not working.
"It can be very worrying for anyone living along a street or road where the lights have not been working for weeks, particularly as we enter the dark winter nights.
"I understand that it is a big task to be constantly repairing these lights across the city but there needs to be a reduction in the amount of time it is taking for these repairs."
