A man aged in his 40's sustained what police have described as serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle into a parked car in the Carnhill area of Derry.
The accident happened just before 2.45pm yesterday (Wednesday) when police recieved a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision where a motorcycle collided with a parked vehicle at Carnhill, pictured above.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are currently thought to be serious.
The road was closed for a time and diversions were implemented before it was reopened after 7pm.
