A Glenullin shoe designer is appealing to locals to help her to get to the next stage of a prestigious competition run by entrepreneur Richard Branson.
Anita Flavin has entered her luxury shoe brand Ennio Mecozzi into the VMB VOOM Awards and hopes to win the competition and the opportunity to work with Branson.
Anita, whose footwear has been spotted on the likes of Amal Clooney and Michelle Obama, is hoping she will get to the second stage of the competition with the help of the public's vote.
The north Derry woman, who graduated from the London College of Fashion in Fashion Management Business and Finance, has worked in the luxury, fashion and ladies footwear industry for over 25 years.
12 months ago she joined forces with Ennio Mecozzi, a third generation Italian shoe artisan (pictured together above), to launch their brand, which sits next to luxury labels such as Jimmy Choo.
