It's a sight which will warm the heart of many Derry revellers ahead of the annual St Partrick's Day celebrations - the Guinness truck unloading its supplies to ensure the bars of Waterloo Street are well-stocked for Saturday.

Usually, the City Centre Initiative (CCI) only the lower the bollards on Waterloo Street after 11am in the event of an emergency.

However, writing on the its Facebook page, the City Centre Initiative (CCI) said: "Under normal circumstances we only lower the bollards on Waterloo Street after 11am in the event of an emergency.

"Well....

"I'm sure many of you would agree that a Guinness Lorry making it's St Patrick's Day deliveries counts as an emergency."

Thousands of people are expected to attend Saturday's parade in the city.
