Man taken to hospital after River Foyle incident

Derry police activated Foyle Search and Rescue’s Emergency Response Team to reports received of a male having entered the River Foyle at around 12.15am this morning.

Two boats and a land crew to the reported location.

As the land crew arrived on scene they located a male who had “self rescued.”

Boat crews were then stood down and the man was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital by by ambulance.
