Three males charged with murdering father of five Karol Kelly appeared at Derry Magistrate’s Court today for the first time since being remanded into custody.
Sean Anderson, 19, his brother Gary Anderson, 20, both of Grafton Street, and a youth have been jointly charged with the murder that took place on March 4 of this year.
The 35-year-old was killed in the early hours of that morning during an altercation on Grafton Street in the Rosemount area of the city.
A Public Prosecution Service (PPS) representative said a full file was due on April 26 which defence solicitor for the brothers, Kevin Casey, believed was ‘optimistic’.
The case of the youth was taken to a Youth Court sitting on April 24 while Sean and Gary Anderson will appear by way of video link again on April 26 when an update will be provided.
