Foyle Search and Rescue has paid tribute to a local taxi driver who aided them during an incident which took place in the early hours of this morning in Derry.
A spokesperson for the rescue charity said: " Foyle Search and Rescue would like to acknowledge the actions of a local taxi driver who intervened and gave assistance to the PSNI and our Duty Teams in the early hours of this morning when dealing with a vulnerable person in distress.
"Your actions are a reflection of the community spirit shown so often within the city, thank you!"
