People in Derry have been urged to be on the lookout after an increase in counterfeit Bank of England £20 notes in circulation in Northern Ireland.
The warning was issued by the City Centre Initiative (CCI).
"We have been made aware of an increase in counterfeit Bank of England £20 notes in circulation in Northern Ireland. We would like to remind businesses to check all banknotes are genuine at the point of sale," a CCI spokesperson said.
"Please inform all staff to be vigilant and report any instances of counterfeit cash being received or attempts to use the counterfeit cash to the PSNI on 101."
