PSNI officers in Derry confiscated alcohol from young would-be drinkers in St Columb's Park last night.
The police presence has been stepped up following complaints by residents two weeks ago that up to 400 young people had congregated to drink in the Waterside park.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "A quantity of alcohol has been taken off youths in the area. We want people to enjoy the park, especially in the good weather, so don’t ruin it for yourself and others."
Last weekend, police seized alcohol and suspected drugs from youths assembling in the park.
