Foyle Search and Rescue are concluding their weeklong door-to-door collection across Derry, and have thanked the city public for their generosity.
A spokesperson said: "As Foyle Search & Rescue's 2018 Door to Door Collection comes to an end, we would like to thank everyone who made a donation this week.
"We would also like to acknowledge our Community who support us each year by raising 85% of the £135,000 needed to run our Charity.
"Last but not least appreciation to ALL our volunteers and members of the public who helped us this week. FSR volunteers carry out many roles, from Fundraising, Shore Patrol, Boat Crew, Swiftwater Rescue and Emergency Response (Pager). Individual equipment costs range from £700 up to £2,200 and we train to the highest level.
"Our aim in 1993 & now 25 years later remains constant: the Preservation of Life. This would not be possible without your support, THANK YOU!"
