Final tally figures show that Donegal has voted NO in the abortion referendum.
All the boxes have been opened at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny and the tally figures show that 52% voted No and 48% voted Yes.
The tally figures are understood not to be as accurate as in a general election.
But there is general agreement that the official count will not be hugely different.
Out of the 246 boxes, tally figures were collected for all but 34.
The official count will take place this afternoon with a result expected in several hours.
Interestingly, some people in Donegal are in a constituency that has voted Yes.
Part of south Donegal is in a constituency with Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan where there is a Yes majority, according to the tally figures.
