A 35-year-old Derry man has been fined £150 after police found him with a screwdriver in his pocket in the city centre.
Stephen Neely, of Bond's Hill in Derry, admitted going equipped for theft on April 18.
The court heard that police received a report about the two men and when they investigated they found a screwdriver in Neely's clothing.
Defence solicitor Mr. Seamus Quigley said his client had been drinking and had 'no particular recollection' of what he was doing.
He said he could provide no explanation for the offence so therefore could not deny it.
Neely was fined £150.
