Foyle Search and Rescue trainee volunteers are undergoing supervised training on the River Foyle today.
The training scenarios involve various rescue drills located at the railings and in water rescue.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “The relevant authorities have been advised and we wish to make the public aware that this is a training exercise and not to be alarmed should you see FSR boat activity on the river.
The exercise began at 10.00am this morning and will continue into mid afternoon.
