More details have emerged about an arson attack on a car and house in Derry this morning.
Detectives are investigating an arson attack at Westland Mews area in the Bogside area.
At around 2.45am it was reported that a car parked in the area had been set on fire.
The fire spread to the front of a nearby property.
The car was destroyed and significant damage caused to the front of the property as a result of the fire.
A fire fighter sustained an injury to his leg while tackling the fire.
A male occupant who was in the property at the time was not injured.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them in Strand Road on 101.
