Orlando massacre: a book of condolence will open in Derry this afternoon

A book of condolence for the victims of the Orlando shooting massacre will open in Derry today.

More than 50 people were killed when a gunman entered a gay nightclub in the city on Saturday night.

It was the worst mass shooting in American history.

Derry’s Mayor Hilary McClintock will open a book of condolence at the Guildhall at noon today.

It is expected that the book will remain open for the rest of the week.

The book will then be sent to the families of the victims.
