A Draperstown man who is charged with cultivating cannabis is to stand trial next month.
Karl Moran of High Street, faces a number of other drug offences including possession of class B drugs, namely cannabis, with intent to supply.
The 36 year-old is further charged with dishonestly using electricity.
The defendant was caught committing the offences on November 4 last year.
During the short hearing at Magherafelt Magistrates’ Court this morning, the defendant spoke only to confirm that he understood the charges.
He declined to give evidence or call any witnesses.
District Judge Alan White said he believed there was a prima facie case to answer.
Moran was released on his own bail of £1,000 to be returned for trial at Derry Crown Court on August 25.
