There was a two-mile tail-back of traffic this afternoon at a busy border crossing following an accident involving a number of cars.
The incident took place at around 1.30 pm near the Texaco filling station on the Donegal side of the border just outside Bridgend on the main Derry-Letterkenny/Buncrana road.
Although only a minor accident - car debris was scattered on the road - the location led to long delays, especially at a time when there is a lot of Sunday afternoon traffic.
Traffic heading to Donegal from the Derry direction was backed up to the Skeoge Roundabout.
There were also some delays for traffic heading into Derry due to the slow moving nature of traffic in the Bridgend area.
