Police are appealing for information following an incident this morning during which a lorry crashed into Foyleside Shopping Centre.
At around 4.45am an articulated lorry that was being unloaded in Ferryquay Street rolled away.
The lorry travelled along Linenhall Street and Newmarket Street before crashing into the wall of the Foyleside Shopping Centre on Orchard Street.
Damage was caused to a parked car and significant damage caused to a number of street signs and bollards during the incident.
An investigation is now underway to establish the circumstances of the collision and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact officers in Strand Road.
Police are particularly keen to speak with three young males who were in the area of Ferryquay Street around the time of the incident.

Newmarket Street and Orchard Street remain closed off following the incident.
