Police appeal for information after van crashes into field to avoid head on collision

Police in Limavady are investigating the circumstances surrounding a road traffic collision that occurred on the Ballyquin Road, Limavady at approximately 2.30pm on Saturday, September 10.
The incident occurred due to a vehicle, believed to be a blue Renault Megane, carrying out a dangerous overtake resulting in a van ending up on its side in a field in order to avoid a head on collision.
No one was injured.
Constable McDermott has appealed for anyone with information regarding this accident to contact Limavady Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 801 on 10/09/16. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
