A vigil will take place today at the Guildhall in support of the Liverpool toddler Alfie Evans who has been prevented from travelling abroad for medical treatment after life support was withdrawn at Alder Hey hospital.
The Court of Appeal upheld the ruling preventing the 23-month-old from travelling to Italy, yesterday.
Alfie's parents say they will meet with doctors today with a view to taking him home.
They have not ruled out further legal action.
Today's vigil will take place at 12.30pm at Guildhall Square.
