A man accused of supplying Class A, B and C drugs has appeared at Derry Magistrate’s Court.

He has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drug cocaine, as well as opioids fentanyl and oxycodone between February and May of this year.

And is further charged with being concerned in the supply of Class B and C drugs and possession of medicinal products with intent to supply.

The defendant was granted anonymity due to a generalised threat that exists in Derry and because of a ‘specific’ threat made against him.

The court was told he was the ‘victim’ of an attack in recent years and a police officer agreed that those submissions were correct.

Granting the anonymity order, District Judge Barney McElholm said: “Given the previous incident and general threat I will make an anonymity order.”

A breach of bail was accepted by his defence solicitor Keith Kyle.

No bail application was made therefore bail was revoked on the previous matter and the case adjourned to a court sitting on June 7 when the defendant will appear by way of video link.
